Lenten Study with Pastor Steve: This Thursday, April 3rd, Pastor Steve will lead the Thursday morning bible study with a teaching on the Book of Revelation. This week we will be studying Revelation 16-18. What is the Good News about this apocalypse? Thursday Mornings at 9:30am in Lent.

Holy Week is Coming: April 13-20
1. Palm Sunday – Service is at 10am. We will raise a hosannah with a palm processional, communion, and a dramatic reading of the Passion story.
2. Maundy Thursday – Service at 6pm. We will remember Jesus mandate to “love one another as I have loved you. We will wash one another’s feet, take communion, and the pastors will strip the altar. We suggest you wear sandals to this service.
3. Good Friday – Service at 6pm. We will join our Baptist neighbors in a Stations of the Cross service walking from their church to our cemetery, singing hymns and reading scripture along the way. It is a highly interactive service appropriate for all ages. The service will begin in the PVFBC sanctuary.
4. Easter Sunrise – Service at 6am at the Pavilion. We will celebrate the Light of Christ breaking through the darkness. We will read scripture, sing hymns, and welcome new members into the church. There will be a potluck breakfast to follow the service. Our principal worship service will be at 10am and we will traditional worship and communion.

Church Yard Sale: April 26th from 7 am until 1pm. Drop off on 24th from 6-8pm and the 25th from 12 noon til 7 pm. See Dawn Brading for more information.

55 & Alive and BUNCO: Next Thursday, April 10th: Due to our Holy Week schedule, 55 and Alive lunch outing and BUNCO will be no the same day. We will gather for lunch at Jose’s in Springfield at 11am (meet at the church at 10:30 for carpool). Then bring something yummy to share and roll the dice in the Fellowship Hall at 6pm. We will take up a collection for the Benevolence fund that night.

Nursery Volunteers Wanted: Be apart of our hospitality and children’s ministry by serving in the nursery. Just one shift a month goes a very long way for providing childcare for a parent of a young child. Click here to sign up.
