Methodism 101 Resources: We met last Sunday for our first Methodism 101 class. Pastor Anne led us on a talk about Grace. In case you missed it or would like to know more, each week we will post here in the newsletter some UMC resources. Click here for some more on Methodists doctrine of grace. All are welcome to join us next Sunday at 6:00pm for lesson on Holiness and the Means of Grace.

55 & Alive: This Thursday we will be going to Sweet P’s in Sango. Meet at the church at 10:30am for the carpool or meet us there at 11:00am! If you haven’t signed up let Amanda know.

Pavilion Worship and Chili Cookoff: Our 5th Sunday tradition! We will be taking Sunday morning worship to the Pavilion. Bring a camp chair and enjoy a laid back service. Then following the service, we will have our annual chili cook-off. Bring a crockpot of chili to share and compete! The fun starts at 10am.

PVUMC Craft Fair at the Pavilion: Spread the word: Vendors Needed! Our Prayer Shawl Ministry will be hosting a Craft Fair at the Pavilion on October 5th. Proceeds will benefit the Prayer Shawl Ministry. They not only use their proceeds to buy yarn but also support missions and ministry in our community. For more information click here or contact Suzanne McElwee (817-908-5412). 

Nursery Care: We are looking for one Sunday School volunteer and two Worship Service volunteers each Sunday to look after our little ones. If you are interested in serving in the nursery, click here to sign up. All of our nursery volunteers must be background checked and trained in Safe Sanctuary.

Charge Conference: We will be hosting our 2023 Charge Conference with our District Superintendent, Rev. Pat Freudenthal on Thursday, October 3rd at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall. All are welcome and those in leadership are strongly encouraged to attend. Charge Conference paperwork is due September 19th.

Methodism 101: Next Sunday! Pastor Steve and Pastor Anne will be leading a five-week course on learning the basics of Methodism. It is for anyone ages 12 and up. We will explore our theology, church history, and the peculiarities of our tradition. This is a great course for prospective members, young people interested in confirmation, and seasoned veterans wanting a deeper understanding of their methodist identity. We will gather in the sanctuary (September 8 – October 5: 5:30-7:00pm).
