Journey to New Beginnings: This Wednesday! Our Journey Series continues with a powerful group on grief. The group will meet August 21 – October 9 from 6:00-7:30pm. We will explore the stages of grief and the cumulative effects of loss. This group is for anyone who has experienced any kind of loss at any time in their life. I have come to learn that a significant part of the spiritual journey is learning to grieve well and I hope you all consider this incredible opportunity. Please contact Pastor Steve if you’d like to join.

Pool Party at the Kings: All PVUMC kids are welcome to come and swim at the King’s House this Sunday at 4pm. We will be cooking out. Parents are welcome to join, no drop offs please. Please contact Pastor Steve to get their address.

Methodism 101: In September, Pastor Steve and Pastor Anne will be leading a five-week course on learning the basics of Methodism. It is for anyone ages 12 and up. This is a great course for prospective members, young people interested in confirmation, and seasoned veterans wanting a deeper understanding of their methodist identity. We will gather in the sanctuary (September 8 – October 5: 5:30-7:00pm).

PVUMC Craft Fair at the Pavilion: Spread the word: Vendors Needed! Our Prayer Shawl Ministry will be hosting a Craft Fair at the Pavilion on October 5th. Pastor Steve’s Sermon: Last Sunday was Back to School Sunday. The livestream had technical difficulties. Please forgive the inconvenience. You can read my previous week’s sermons here.

Safe Sanctuary Training: THIS SUNDAY! All church members and prospective church members are encouraged to attend our Safe Sanctuary Training. Being a healing community that serves the community and loves our neighbor also means providing safe and organized space for children and vulnerable adults to thrive! We will have our meeting after church on August 11th in the sanctuary. A light lunch will be provided. This is something that is required by the conference every four years if you are going to be serving children or vulnerable adults.

55 & Alive at Trina’s House: Meet at the church at 10:45am on Thursday and take the bus with our 55 & Alive crew at Trina’s house. Lunch will be provided and we will play cornhole. All are welcome!
