This Week at PVUMC 1/14/25

Pastor Steve’s Sermon: Last week I preached on being called by God. Read it here.

Called Charge Conference (THIS Sunday, January 19th after church): Our District Superintendent, Rev. Pat Freudenthal has called a Charge Conference to vote on two items. 1) Approval to sell an unused portion of our pavilion property and 2) to vote on a new treasurer (Thank you Lois!). Per the Book of Discipline both of these require a Called Charge Conference by the DS. All members of the church are encouraged to attend. It should be a fairly brief meeting. If you have any questions about either of these please don’t hesitate to reach out to Pastor Steve, the Trustees, or the Finance Committee.

Aging to Perfection: Maturing in the Light of God’s Grace (Mondays in February at 9am): Join Pastor Anne for a 4-week small group on serving God and growing into the image of Christ at every stage of life!

2025 Stewardship Campaign: January 5th through February 2nd, we will be recommitting ourselves to another year of mission and ministry at PVUMC. In the United Methodist Church our membership vows include a commitment to prayer, presence, gifts, service, and witness. Over the next weeks we will be exploring what these mean and recommitting ourselves to loving and serving the Lord at PVUMC in 2025!

Kids Club (January 26th: 5:00-6:30pm): For ages 3-10. Kids Club is our fun filled evening of learning to love like Jesus. We will eat supper, play games, and have interactive bible study. Parents are welcome to stay, enjoy refreshments and hang out with Pastor Steve and his wife, Heather in the fellowhip hall.
